The vineyards of Domaine Rimbert are located in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. The L-R region sits on France’s southernmost border to Spain. For a lil perspective, the southern part of L-R is only about a 2 hour drive to Barcelona….

In the glass this Carignan, Syrah, Grenache blend shows a ruby core with bright edges.
My first sniff is loaded with black olive and barnyard funk. When I smell again it’s a hint of bell pepper and more of that initial earthiness…
In the mouth, acid drives the front of this wine into a base of red raspberries and minerality…. The finish is lingering red fruit and a black liquorice note. It’s red berries splattered on a damp sidewalk after a warm summer rain —— and it’s pretty great…….
This is a fresh, earthy, pop and drink now wine and for around 15 bucks – it’s pretty hard not to like!
Throw some chicken on the grill and pour some of this in your glass —– A Votre Sante’ Cheers
