In the glass, this Napa Syrah starts with a gorgeous tight-black core that heads towards a dark purple mid-circle and finishes with an electric purple halo.
A sniff gives a nose full of cedar, blue fruit, and just a hint of mild heat…..
On the palate the wine starts with deep-black fruit and anise but opens up with a chew into blueberries and blackberries. There is a gamey-greasy mouthfeel and the finish hangs on FOREVER with warming black pepper and cinnamon………
Damn ——– This thing is rustic…….. and I AM DOWN with it!!!!!!!
Drink this Syrah with the windows open on your next rainy afternoon. Pair it with something hearty ———-> Think beef stew or roasted pheasant.
