Strummin’ on a Grenache

Guitar legend – Gary Kramer dove headfirst into the world of wine when he founded Gary Kramer Guitar Cellars just 18 months ago. Kramer’s career began in the Rock & Roll industry where he gained wild acclaim in the 80’s with his Kramer Guitars as they quickly became the number 1 selling guitar brand in the US. As a young boy, Gary grew up in Italy and spent a lot of time at his Grandparents home which sat on top of a vineyard that his Great Grandfather had planted ——–> The memories that these visits instilled never faded and inevitably turned into inspiration to purchase his own vineyard in the Estrella District of Paso Robles.

In the glass, this Grenache has a brick-red center with pink edges and a translucent halo with a couple specks of sediment…..

The nose is filled with raspberries, bing cherries, and a touch of musty spice…

When I give the wine a sip, there’s some acid upfront that leads a charge into bright strawberry and blueberry notes. The mid-palate is raspberry preserves and a little salinity before a long white chocolate and blackberry finish….

Guys, this is a great food-friendly Grenache that will pair well with some of your heartier dishes…. I’m thinking smoked prime rib and grilled veggies ALL DAY LONG with this little fella!!!
