In the glass, this Monterey Pinot has a dark purple core with strawberry edges and a mid-width translucent halo….
The nose is LOADED with candied-cranberries that’re highlighted by bing cherries with some cedar wood and a pinch of white pepper spice….
A sip has a bing cherry start that catapults into cranberries and raspberry purée…. The mid-palate takes a darker turn with a bit of anise muddled in black cherries before the finish takes hold with some surprising tannins and a loooooooong blackberry finish that has me craving another sip ————> Holy, wow! The only thing wrong with this wine is he fact that it’s not sitting in a magnum!!!!
Here’s the Reserve Pinot from our friends over at Big Sur Vineyards in Monterey County… This thing’s got it all with bright fruit, dark fruit, some nice wood, and even a lil grip! Pair it with dark meat chicken and wild rice, you’re welcome y’all!
