In the glass, this Mourvèdre out of Arizona has an electric purple center with pink edges and a THICK translucent halo….
The nose has an initial bing cherry kick before a raw red onion note is overtaken by red raspberries and oak….
When I give this lil guy a try, there is a bright cranberry start that leads into some blackberries and vanilla oak ——-> The mid-palate is more of the bing cherries that I got on the nose with a sort of chocolate covered strawberry thing…. The wine finishes with a blueberry pucker before it finds mild but still showy tannins that hang on my tongue for a bit….
Here’s yet another KILLER wine from Arizona… While I must admit that I wasn’t totally sold on the idea that premium wines could come from The Grand Canyon State, after checking out the wines of Aridus ———-> I’m a believer!!!
