In the glass, this Grenache out of the Dry Creek AVA has a bright purple center with rose petal edges and a pink lipstick halo….
When I stick my nose in the glass there’s a juicy strawberry and black cherry assault before a mound of fresh cedar sawdust saves the day to keep the fruit in check….
A sip has a black raspberry start that firms out with inviting but sharp tannins ——–> The mid-palate opens up a bit with some blue fruit and a banana clove thing that I’m LOVING before a lasting finish of cavendish pipe tobacco and dark chocolate BEGS for another sip!!!
Here’s a KILLER Grenache from self-described Cali Grenache activist, C.R. Graybehl! Y’all know how much I love a good expression of the variety and this one is TEXTBOOK my friends…. Do yourself a favor and check these guys out!!!
