In the glass, this Washington State Merlot has a black olive core with deep purple edges and a thin pink halo….
On the nose, there is an onslaught of wet cedar before notes of ripe cherry, bell pepper, and some brown sugar come into play….
A taste has a red raspberry start that nosedives into an AWESOME black cherry and blackberry medley ———-> The mid palate is ALL wood with toasted oak and more of the cedar that I got on the nose before the wine finishes like a desert with powdered chocolate that eventually finds its way into a looooooong and grippy dark chocolate ending…. Viva Merlot, yo!
Here’s an under $20 Merlot that you can’t afford to ignore!!! For how well it drinks, at this price point; this is THE PERFECT weeknight wine…. With LOADS of dark fruit, chocolate, and wood – I’m certain that you’ll thank me later!
