In the glass, this Sonoma Grenache has a black plum center surrounded by bricking edges and an electric halo….
A sniff is dark and impossibly juicy bursting with blackberries and boysenberries covered in basement floor dust ————-> A revisit SCREAMS raspberry purée and I’m salivating….
The palate starts with black cherries and more of the red raspberries I got on the nose before a mid-weight viscosity gives a piggy back ride to lively strawberries ————-> A chew and a swish opens this sucker up a bit with red vine licorice and berry acid before subtle tannins introduce a bit of grip to both sides of my tongue and carry a lasting blackberry clove ending that’s got me DYING for another taste!!!!
Soooooooo…… I LOVE GRENACHE!!!! That said, it’s no surprise I’ve also got a lil crush on these The Grenachista wines ———-> This expression comes from Mounts Vineyard in the Dry Creek Valley of Sonoma…. It’s ability to seamlessly balance dark fruit with such vibrancy kinda has my head spinnin’! 🎧🎧🎧 Listen to this wine with something a little dark, a little poppy, and extremely catchy like Spoon – The Way We Get By
