In the glass, this Spanish Garnacha has a HUGE black asphalt core with electric purple edges surrounded by a hot pink halo….
The nose leaps out of my glass with strawberry perfume, sweet wet oak, and ripe red raspberry notes….
A sip starts with blackberries and more of the raspberries I got in the nose ———-> The mid-palate walks me down a path of black cherries and cola before a chew and a swish open up notes of red licorice and dried cigar tobacco…. This sucker finishes BIG with a black pepper spice that carries a lasting eucalyptus ending that coats my palate and hangs on for a good minute and a half….
Wine is all about bang for your buck my friends and at right around $15 bucks, this Spanish Garnacha from Bodegas Borsao is your golden ticket ———–> This guy is big and bold yet aromatic and layered…. There is NO reason NOT to have a few of these on hand at any given time!!! 🎧🎧🎧 Listen to this wine with something boss as hell like Nas – If I Ruled The World
2016 Bodegas Borsao “Tres Picos Garnacha” Borja Spain
Tres Picos was my go-to Grenache when we lived in Phx. The aromas of strawberries and raspberries were great poolside. Great wines and a good price at Total Wine.
