In the glass, this Santa Ynez Grenache Blanc has a green straw core with white gold edges that’re surrounded by a WIDE translucent halo….
A sniff shows green apples and white pears ———> When I revisit I’m hit with a sweet nectarine BLAST that leaves me salivating….
A taste starts with more of the green apples I got on the nose before a mid-weight mouthfeel shows a cantaloupe and orange rind slow dance ————–> The mid-palate has a zesty lemon lime thing going on before this sucker finishes with cotton candy and a lasting tropical fruit ending that leaves me in a bit of AWE……
While I was working on the farm in 105 degree heat today the only thing I could think about was how damned refreshing a splash of Grenache Blanc would be…. Luckily, when I opened the refrigerator door, I spotted this lil beaut from Lumen wines!!!! This thing is LOADED with tropical fruit, bright acidity, and even a little bit of cotton candy…. π§π§π§ Listen to this guy under the sun to a summertime classic like Bryan Adams – Summer of 69
