In the glass, this Anderson Valley Chard has a SUPER light green straw core surrounded by white golden edges and a thick translucent halo….
The nose shows an impossible balance of opulence and restraint with notes of green apple, wet stone, and just a subtle tease of oak….
A sip starts light and bright with a white peach and Asian pear medley ———> A chew and a swish throws out more of the green apple I got on the nose before slate rock and dusty minerality show up to coat my tongue…. The ending starts with a touch of wood before some lemon and lime acid take this puppy home to a lasting and refreshing finish….
I just recently stumbled upon Fathers and Daughters Cellars and man O man am I glad I did…. You may recall my GUSHING over their Gewürtztraminer and after tasting this Chardonnay, these guys are batting 1,000!!! There’s so much deliciousness going on with this wine but done so with such finesse…. 🎧🎧🎧 Listen to this wine with a song that’s always got THIS father thinkin’ of his daughter like Amos Lee – Sweet Pea
