In the glass this Carneros Pinot has a dark garnet core with orange-bricking edges surrounded by a wide translucent halo….
A sniff is BEAUTIFUL….. This thing is soooooo damned pretty on the nose ————> There’s this muddled peach and strawberry thing that finds its’ way into sugar coated raspberries and I’m left salivating….
The palate starts with bing cherry acid that immediately takes a U turn into some surprising yet KILLER salinity that paves the way for a fistful of blueberries and more of the red raspberries I got on the nose ————–> The mid-palate does a slow dance on my tongue with a plummy-coriander spice thing that I’m HEAD OVER HEELS FOR…. This little beauty finishes STRONG with a brown sugar and cinnamon ending that hangs around WELLLLL after my last sip….
As the days get shorter and the weather gets cooler, I can’t help but to start thinkin’ about fall ————> With a rediculous amount of structure and complexity emphasized by a brown sugar and cinnamon ending, THIS one from Terragena Vineyards is YOUR change of the season Pinot!!! 🎧🎧🎧 Listen to this wine with a quintessential fall jam like The Avett Brothers -Head Full Of Doubt/Road Full Of Promise
