In the glass this Rogue Valley OR Grenache has a plum purple core with hot pink edges surrounded by a thin translucent halo….
A sniff has a bonfire smoked strawberry start before blackberries come into play ————> A revisit shows bing cherries and some mushroom(y) funk that I’m DIGGIN’….
The palate’s got a pleasantly dirty start with a mid-weight mouthfeel that’s LOADED with fresh picked, unwashed raspberries and sun-baked, black fruit…. A chew and a swish opens up more of the strawberries I got on the nose before black cherries and an AWESOME worn to hell saddle note joins the party ——————> The leather keeps trucking into the finish of this bad boy highlighting a LASTING peppercorn and blackberry ending….
It’s NO secret how much I love Grenache, right!?!? Well…. Here’s an example of the variety from Rogue Valley OR that’s smoky, funky, leathery, and soooooooo damned DELICIOUS!!!!! 🎧🎧🎧 Listen to this wine with some honky tonk music like Waylon Jennings – Shine
